The proposed House Farm Bill poses serious risks to public health and safety. Two key provisions stand out:
If passed, the bill would prioritize corporate profits over public health, leaving communities vulnerable to harmful chemicals without the power to protect themselves or hold manufacturers accountable.
We are writing to our US Legislators & local Leaders to discuss & educate them that they could lose local control & the pesticide makers could gain liability protections like NVICA in 1986. Template letters & action plan are available below. Please mail your letters in green envelope to get their attention we mean business.

Build Meaningful Relationships with Your Local Farmers
Your local farmers do more than just grow food—they nurture the land, steward biodiversity, and help keep your community healthy. By getting to know them and buying from their stands, farmers’ markets, and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, you’re investing in a more resilient food system and showing your appreciation for the hard work they do year-round.
Write to your State and local legislator & leaders. Many May understand that they could lose local troll over pesticide use and measures To federal control. Spread the word, Table at farmers markets and community events this fall, hold an information and take action event. Speak to School boards, PTA, college campuses, & churches. There are more ideas below in Action Plan.
We encourage you to mail your letter in green envelopes. And if your child is writing one or can include a coloring page (we will be offering some, stay tuned) or a drawing made by your child to go along with your letter. These letters are just templates and can be personalized and adjusted how you see fit. We do recommend keeping in mind to communicate respectively and from the heart.
Send in this coloring page filled in by your child with your letter or a drawing they make.
